These sensors produce analog waveforms a that are noisy and hard for microcontroller to accurately read. In order to make this signal usable, something called a VR Conditioner is used. Unfortunately, most off the shelf VR Conditioners do not work well with the Honda sensors. I have developed a circuit that I believe will work better for the Hondas sensors. Still waiting on a few components but this is what it looks like! Testing will begin shortly and after adjustments are made, a surface mount version will be designed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/braelanslog.bctuned.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20220804_082713-461x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-104\" width=\"331\" height=\"736\" srcset=\"https:\/\/braelanslog.bctuned.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20220804_082713-461x1024.jpg 461w, https:\/\/braelanslog.bctuned.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20220804_082713-135x300.jpg 135w, https:\/\/braelanslog.bctuned.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20220804_082713-768x1705.jpg 768w, https:\/\/braelanslog.bctuned.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20220804_082713-692x1536.jpg 692w, https:\/\/braelanslog.bctuned.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20220804_082713-922x2048.jpg 922w, https:\/\/braelanslog.bctuned.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20220804_082713-scaled.jpg 1153w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 331px) 100vw, 331px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
One of the most dificult parts of building a standalone ecu for Hondas is processing the variable reluctance sensors that are housed within the distributor.
